ArtWorks Room by Room Summer 2011

For everyone that hasn't heard from me in a while the video below will explain a little bit about what I have been up to this summer. I've spent the last 6 weeks working with ArtWorks as a teaching artist on the Room by Room project lead by Tina Westerkamp in Collaboration with the Ronald McDonald House.

Here's a video that I worked on with a small group of kids. It's amazing watching these young minds. They come up with the best ideas! All words, thoughts, and images in the video were inspired by individuals living at the Ronald McDonald House and the stories they shared with us about their lives. We could not thank them enough for opening up and changing us forever.

The goal of the Room by Room project is to create 44 paintings for 22 long term care rooms of the Ronald McDonald House. Here is some of our progress:
